Last-minute electronics gifts under $100

Gifts under $100 electronics

Rounding out our last-minute gift guide, here are a few more ideas from our editors for gadgets $100 and under. Got any to add? Please share ‘em below.

Digital camera
The Kodak EasyShare C160 is an inexpensive subcompact that takes decent shots with surprisingly good performance. It may not have an optical or mechanical image stabilizer, but for such a cheap price, it’s a very good value. —Terry Sullivan

Digital picture frame
Keep the family photos front and center with a digital picture frame. You can get a very good frame for well under $100. Some frames let you add music to your slide shows (although the speakers aren’t very good), or show videos. We like the Digital Spectrum Memory Frame MF-801 for $70. Toss in a memory card for storing photos. You can get an 8GB card for abut $20 to $25 or 16GB for $35 to $40. —Donna Tapellini

Car apps for the iPhone or Blackberry
If you’re shopping for someone with an iPhone or Blackberry, they might find a GPS or car-related app useful, especially if they don’t already have a standalone navigation unit. Prices range from free to $100 dollars. Check out our GPS buying advice and app reviews for the iPhone and for the Blackberry. For a little more ($120), TomTom offers a Car Kit to complement the TomTom app for the iPhone, though at that price you might be better off buying an inexpensive standalone unit. (The TomTom and Navigon apps have recently been discounted.)
